About the Founder

Raised in Chicago, Gloria Freeman moved to Minneapolis when she was 19. She is an award-winning entrepreneur, with over 25 years of leadership experience. When Gloria received her esthetician license from the Aveda Institute in 1990s, she had a dream of starting her own beauty and wellness business. But life had other plans and she deferred her dream to start an organization serving our community’s most vulnerable people. As her community-based business succeeded, the dream of starting a beauty and wellness business lingered in the back of her mind. Gloria recently seized the opportunity to launch House of Beaute Atout (HOBA) with the intent of marrying her entrepreneurial success with her passion for selfcare and caring for others. Through HOBA, Gloria seeks to support the growth of small businesses while helping them build a legacy of generational wealth.
